I am Learning to Draw Patterns.

In Room 8 we have been making flower headpieces for our wearable arts. These will be displayed next term! We have worked really hard on our patterns.

I am Learning to Try New Things

We took part in a trial soccer clinic. We learned a new game called 'Shark Attack' and played a game of soccer in a big blow up field! The message of the lesson was to try new things and give it a go even if you feel nervous.

Success Criteria:

- take part in the games

- treat peers and team mates with respect and be a good sport

- have fun!

I am Learning to Draw a Self Portrait

Room 8 has been learning how to draw a self portrait. We started in our sketch books and then created it on a larger scale with pastels.

I needed to:
- Draw my face shape
- Put my facial features in the correct places
- Colour without leaving any white spaces

My Reflection

I am proud of how I could draw myself.

It can be tricky to draw my eyes.

Next time I could colour in nicely.

Bird pillow

For our Art Exhibition this year we learnt how to sketch a bird.  The final drawing was transferred onto calico and dye was added.  The bird was glued onto a pillow that Mrs Scott and Mrs Worsfold had sewn.  Don't they look great!

I am sharing my learning.

Mrs Worsfold said, " What a lovely time you had being the teacher and showing Mum around the classroom."

Celebrating the Autumn season

 We have been learning about how people celebrate different seasons. Some families celebrate the Autumn harvest. Our class picked apples from the school orchard and made apple pie together.

I am in the school swimming pool and I am holding the kick board with long straight arms.
